Announcing the birth of Judah David Allen!
March 18th, 2008 | Published in Archives, Front Page, Personal
Many of you have been laying in wait for the news (and subsequently, the pictures!) of the newest addition to our family. Well, wait no more! Our son, Judah David Allen, joined us early this morning at 4:05am after just 2.5 short hours of labor. It was an incredible spectacle and a rather wild night, but all of us are doing well, and we’re so delighted to welcome Judah to our family. I’ll spare you the long version of the story (but if you’re interested in hearing it, let me know! I’m glad to share), but here is the shorthand timeline of events:
1:30am - Active labor begins
3:00am - Leave to go to the hospital
3:53am - We’re rushed into the delivery room after a very short stop in Triage
4:05am - Judah is born after just 2 pushes
Yikes! It happened all so quickly, and we barely had a chance to realize we even had a baby before we were on our way to recovery! Because of our excellent condition, they actually sent us home just 14 hours later, so we are now home, recuperating, and rejoicing in our new blessing. Below you’ll find some of the first photos of Judah, his weary but excited parents, and some of the first photos of Alaina and Judah becoming acquainted. You can bet there will be more photos soon. Thanks for all your support and encouragement as we venture into this new land of life with TWO kids!
